Fuglen

Coffee by day, cocktails by night, all inside a 1963 time capsule of Norwegian mid-century design, every chair is vintage and most of it is for sale. Fuglen began in Oslo in 1963 and now has Oslo locations in Sentrum and Gamlebyen as well as bars abroad. The company also sells its own coffee beans; choose which Oslo bar you intend to visit before checking its hours or meeting friends.

Andre til Høyre

Andre til Høyre is a cocktail and wine bar on Bernt Ankers gate. Its own account shows a living-room-like space with small tables, armchairs, warm lamps and plants, alongside carefully presented drinks. The venue describes it as a place to hang out with good music and a crafted drink, making the setting as much a part of the visit as the glass in front of you. Use the bar’s Instagram account for an impression of the interior and its cocktail style. The former standalone website is unavailable, and a current menu or weekly opening schedule could not be confirmed. Pier 42

Pier 42 is the cocktail bar inside Amerikalinjen by Oslo Central Station. Its name recalls the New York pier where passengers arriving from Norway once began a new chapter, a story carried into the bar's transatlantic design and drink menu. The current concept menu, The Captain's Diary, takes that crossing as its theme. Come for cocktails rather than a full restaurant meal, and use the hotel entrance at Jernbanetorget 2. The bar states that it does not take seat reservations, so arrive with a little flexibility if you want a table.

Olympen

Olympen, often called Lompa, is a historic restaurant and gathering place on Grønland. The venue's own website currently says the restaurant has closed and is seeking new operators. Its history and distinctive rooms remain part of Oslo's food and nightlife story, but there is no current ordinary dining service to plan a visit around. Check the official site for any reopening announcement before travelling to Grønlandsleiret.

Natural wine with a kitchen that outcooks most restaurants, Tøyen's proof that a wine bar can be both serious and loose at the same time.

Torggata Botaniske

Torggata Botaniske is a cocktail bar at Torggata 17B, open into the night throughout the week. The bar's own page highlights its drinks, music and warm, garden-like atmosphere through guest comments, while its practical information gives separate closing times for weekdays and the weekend. It is a place to plan an evening drink rather than a daytime coffee stop. Groups who want food can ask the bar about a table reservation through the contact form. For a regular visit, check the day's opening time before heading into Torggata.

Territoriet

Territoriet is an intimate wine bar on Markveien in lower Grünerløkka. It says it carries close to 450 wines at different prices, most available by the glass, from everyday sparkling wine to Bordeaux, Burgundy, Riesling and smaller producers. The list changes, so the bar's current wine menu is more useful than a fixed recommendation. Territoriet does not take reservations: drop in and ask the staff for a glass that matches your taste or budget. It opens daily and continues past midnight.

Nektar Vinbar

Cozy neighborhood wine bar inspired by French, Italian and Spanish bars, small organic producers and locally sourced food. Nektar is a family-run wine bar in a red timber house from 1814 on Fredensborgveien. Its short-travelled food draws on French, Italian and Spanish wine-bar traditions, while the wine selection emphasises biodynamic and organic producers.

Himkok

Himkok is a cocktail bar and working distillery at Storgata 27. It makes aquavit, gin and vodka on site and builds drinks around those spirits and Nordic ingredients. The bar has several spaces, so a visit can feel different depending on where you settle. Smaller parties should plan to walk in: the venue's table form is for groups of eight or more, and the Distillery Bar itself does not take reservations. Larger groups need a confirmed email booking, with Friday and Saturday requests sent at least 48 hours ahead. Go for the house-made spirits and a considered cocktail menu.

Mediterranean–Asian fusion restaurant and cocktail bar in Barcode, set in an art deco room with craft cocktails and curated wines. Its restaurant includes a cocktail and wine bar, so check whether you want dinner or a drink when reserving a table.

F6

Small, intimate cocktail bar at Solli Plass, a longtime favourite among Oslo's cocktail enthusiasts since 2009. F6 is a small cocktail bar near Solli plass, serving both house signature drinks and classics. Pastis Bistrobar

Spillbaren Majorstuen (B54)

Spillbaren Majorstuen fills two floors at Bogstadveien 54 with shuffleboard, darts, billiards, karaoke, and selected arcade games. The bar has social seating as well as bookable games. Group packages combine two hours of play with the option to include drinks or food. The venue does not have its own kitchen, but guests are welcome to order food from other restaurants or through Wolt and Foodora. For larger groups, a dedicated group menu is available with catering provided by their sister restaurant, Casa Pisano.
