Painting ceramics is a great way to unleash some creativity without feeling overwhelmed. At Creative Collective, you pick your piece from a selection of ceramic items priced individually. You will get a quick intro to the paints and techniques before diving in. Once you are done, your piece is glazed and fired, ready for pickup a couple of weeks later. They also have a cozy cafe setup on site where you can grab a coffee and a pastry while you paint. Alongside standard drop in painting, they host special events like baby sessions and dog friendly evenings for making paw prints on ceramics. Spaces fill up fast, so booking in advance is highly recommended.

Oslo Keramikkverksted runs hands-on ceramics classes for beginners and returning makers. Its programme includes wheel throwing, hand-building, sculpting and glazing, as well as sessions for children with an adult. You can choose a short two-hour workshop, a longer course or a multi-week series, so the experience and price depend on the specific class. The studios operate at more than one Oslo location. Check the course calendar for the actual venue, date, length and availability before booking.
