Mirabel Sørenga sits right by the waterfront, offering a great mix of lunch and dinner options with views across the fjord. The menu spans widely from fresh seafood dishes to hearty steaks like entrecôte and tomahawk, alongside delicious stone-baked pizzas. A total must try is one of their satisfying daytime dishes or a properly tender steak in the evening. The outdoor seating is a major draw when the weather plays along, while the indoor space keeps things cozy and casual. It is a fantastic spot to catch up with friends over drinks, enjoy good food, and soak in the lively atmosphere right by the docks.

Norda is located on the 13th floor, offering panoramic views across the city skyline. In the evenings, they serve thoughtfully crafted dinner options with seasonal ingredients and international influences, but weekends bring a whole new level of energy. Every Saturday, they host their vibrant Brunch Club with live DJ sets, offering flexibility between à la carte options like Eggs Florentine and Steak Sandwiches or a full 3-course brunch set menu. For anyone with a serious sweet tooth, the ultimate highlight is their unique Willy Wonka-inspired all-you-can-eat dessert buffet. The room is loaded with an impressive array of cakes, pastries, tarts, and sweet treats. You can easily add the dessert buffet to your meal or book it as a standalone experience if you just want to go all-in on desserts, making Norda a fantastic choice whether you are planning an intimate dinner with a view or a celebratory weekend brunch with friends.

Hanami is located right on the waterfront at Tjuvholmen and offers a properly boujee experience that I think is completely worth the visit. The service sets the tone right away, just having them take your coat at the door and hang it up for you sets the standard for the rest of the evening. The menu combines a Japanese robata grill, izakaya, and sushi, featuring everything from fresh sashimi and robata-grilled skewers to wagyu beef, glazed black cod, and dim sum. You can order à la carte or choose set tasting menus ranging from around 800 to 1300 NOK per person. With fjord views, solid cocktails, and outdoor seating in the summer, it is a spot I truly recommend when you want to make a night of it.

Lille Herbern is a seasonal seafood restaurant situated on a small island just off Bygdøy. To get there, you take the small ferry running regularly from Herbernveien at Bygdøynes, a short trip taking only a couple of minutes. The venue offers a maritime atmosphere with outdoor seating right at the water's edge. The menu focuses mainly on fresh fish, shellfish, and seafood platters. Prices lean toward the higher side, and since the spot is only open during the summer season with limited capacity, booking a table well in advance is recommended.

Located in Bjørvika, you will find the Munch Museum. It might not be the most pretty building and has received its share of hate for its exterior, but it is what is on the inside that counts, right? Once you step inside, it is really well done, with art spread across thirteen floors. Here you can explore Edvard Munch's life work through famous masterpieces like The Scream, Madonna, and The Girls on the Bridge. Since Munch created several versions of The Scream in different mediums, the museum rotates which version is on display to protect the artwork from light. On the top floors you can grab a coffee or a drink while taking in views of the Oslofjord and the city. You decide how much time you want to spend walking through the galleries. Standard tickets cost around 160 to 200 NOK, while entry is free for anyone under eighteen. It is a great spot to bring visiting guests, enjoy a quiet Sunday with family, or simply visit on your own or with a friend.
