The Food Itinerary
One day · all appetite
Eat Oslo in one day, from the first flat white to the last glass of wine. This crawl runs east to west and back, through Grünerløkka, Grønland and the harbour, timing each stop so you are always a little bit hungry when you arrive. Pace yourself, walk between everything, and treat the metro as your reset button. Come with an empty stomach and loose plans.
09:00
Start where Oslo's coffee obsession basically began. This tiny Grünerløkka roastery pours some of the cleanest, brightest cups in the city, and the baristas will happily nerd out on the beans if you ask. Take an espresso standing at the counter, then grab a bag of filter roast for later. It is a small room, so do not expect to linger for an hour.

~18 min walk · 1.4 km
10:00
Ten minutes on foot and you are into breakfast proper. Bob does chewy, properly boiled bagels loaded well past the point of tidy, which is exactly what you want before a long day. Get one to go and eat it walking toward the river. This is fuel, not a sit-down affair.

12:00
The city's food hall is your midday playground: dozens of counters under one roof, from charcuterie to fresh pasta to oysters. Do a full loop before you commit, then build a scrappy lunch from two or three stalls and share everything. This is the stop where you graze rather than order one big plate.

~10 min walk · 750 m
14:30
Hop over to Grønland and slide into a stool at Koie for a proper bowl of ramen. The broth is deep and rich, the noodles have real bite, and the room is loud and steamy in the best way. It is a heavier stop, so this is your one big sit-down meal of the day. Slurp fast, the queue moves.

17:00
Walk down to the waterfront and into Vippa, a former shipping shed turned street-food hall right on the fjord. Order from a couple of the kitchens, grab a spot near the water, and watch the light go long over the harbour. This is your golden-hour breather before dinner, so keep the portions small.

~36 min walk · 2.9 km
19:30
Back in Grünerløkka, Sudøst sits right on the river and does confident Asian-leaning plates meant for sharing. Book ahead, take a riverside table, and let the kitchen send out a run of small dishes. This is the proper dinner: unhurried, generous, worth slowing down for after a day of eating on the move.
~8 min walk · 650 m
22:30
End the crawl at Territoriet, a Grünerløkka wine bar with a famously long by-the-glass list and no menu at all: you just tell them what you like. Grab a stool, ask for something you have never tried, and let the day settle. A small snack plate is the perfect full stop.
